THE COTSWOLD CRAFTSMEN GROUP

The Cotswold Craftsmen are a well established group started in the late 1960s. Our membership is drawn from around the Cotswold but our emphasis is on quality not postcode!

Our members include a rich cross section of designers, makers and artists who value the traditions and skills of the past whilst embracing contemporary techniques.

Our aim is to encourage the making of individual items to a professional standard of design and finish. We value the unique qualities that handmade individually crafted objects possess and recognise the lasting pleasure that they bring. Through striving to develop our skills as makers and designers, we offer something new to those that appreciate quality.

The group show together at around 8 or 9 events a year including the Spring and Autumn shows at Malvern Three Counties Showground. We also have a permanent home at our gallery in Market Street, Nailsworth where a selection of work from many of our members is on show for sale. Details of our shows can be found on our website or on the events pages of this site. Further details about the gallery can also be found on our website or on our gallery page on this site.

We welcome applications for membership from quality professional makers and are keen to encourage young designer/makers to join the group, endeavouring to support their development with the benefits of combined creative experience. Details of application and the selection process can be found on our website.
